Government bid to revive footwear industry

PATNA: The state government has decided to create state-funded and product-based industrial cluster to revive the once thriving footwear industry at Mora Talab in Nalanda district. Pakistan’s footwear exports fall in volume and value With Pakistan’s current fiscal year coming to an end, the Federal Bureau of Statistics has reported export figures for footwear of 8.9 million pairs for the first 11 months (July 2016-May 2017) and revenues of $86.9 million.
